Paige is a certified Physician Assistant (PA). She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.
Paige assists Dr. Stowers in the operating room where she stands bedside. She is there to aid in placing trocars, handling instruments, removing the stomach from the abdomen (during the gastric sleeve procedure), and suturing incision sites after the procedure is complete. Paige is also an integral part of the follow up process seeing patients at appointments after surgery to support and guide them to succeed in their journey!
Prior to attending P.A. School, Paige graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology/Cell & Molecular Biology from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed through the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
Paige chose bariatrics because she enjoys being a part of helping patients improve their quality of life. Her favorite part is seeing the newfound confidence and energy patients have after losing weight while celebrating the amazing milestones along their journey.
When she is out of the office, Paige enjoys traveling to new places, playing with her dogs (Dax and Angel), and scuba diving. Her dream destination is Australia so that she can dive the Great Barrier Reef!
